I want to first start off by giving thanks to God, without Him, I wouldn’t be here. I have been through a lot physically, emotionally, and mentally. I’m fighting a hard fight, that I do not plan to lose.

To my husband, Mr. Rod Sumter, you are my backbone, confidant, and lover. You listen to me ramble about storylines, characters, and titles. You always give me your undivided attention, and that means everything to me. At times, you have loved me more than I’ve loved myself. My Rod, you told me I could do anything I put my mind to. You have always believed in me, and for that, I will always love you and be grateful to you.

To my babies, Dakarai and Jhnai, always know that you are my heart and my strength. I will always be your biggest cheerleader in everything that you do. Now, my two babies, you are returning the favor, and being my cheerleader. Your opinions and suggestions help to get my creative juices flowing. I strive to make you two as proud of me, as I am of you. Mommy loves you, always and forever. Heart, mind, body, and soul.

To my angel, Kenji. You are my inspiration and guiding light. I didn’t have long with you, but the time that I was blessed with is imbedded in my soul forever.

To my publisher, Talehia, you thought enough of my story to take a chance on me. You told me that what I had to say was important and should be told. I will forever be appreciative of the great opportunity you have given me. You have afforded me the tools to turn my dreams into reality. To my pen sisters. You lovely ladies rock. I thank you for your kind words, inspiration, dedication, laughs, and your positive, and sometimes crazy, words of advice. This sisterhood is a bond that I don’t mind being a part of.

To the readers, thank you. Without your support, there would be no me. Your reviews, support, messages, and well wishes, makes me keep putting the pen to paper and my fingers to the keys. I promise to write until I run out of words.

  Synopsis

“How many times have you judged someone by their cover without reading their pages? Once you read their story, did your opinion of them change?”

Stone is a man with little patience, and even less understanding. For him, his word is law. Whoever doesn’t like it, that’s on them. What happens when he learns there’s a whole lot more to Preshus, and his assumptions about her were dead wrong? How will he handle learning the truth?

Banks apologized for his words, but does it mean his outlook on Neesha changed? He battles with the maybes, when something tragic happens to her, that makes him see her for who she really is. But is it enough?

Racks has a way with words. He sees it, he reads it, he speaks on it, without hesitation. He has gotten to Kimmy in a way she doesn’t understand. He’s vowed that she will come to him. She does, but not in the way he was speaking on. After a few revelations, his opinion of her doesn’t change, but his feelings does. Now, he’s wondering if she’s even worth it?

Preshus, Aquaneesha, and Kimmy, have been judged for what people think they are, and not for who they really are. When truths are exposed, what will be determined and learned? Will there be apologizes? Will relationships be formed? Or will the words spewed at them harden their hearts to what could be?

There’s a lot going on between these six individuals, including a hateful, spiteful sister. Ocean has almost killed her baby brother. One would think she would be apologetic. She’s the total opposite. Her evil doesn’t stop there. She’s vengeful and feels she should be compensated for what she has been through and doesn’t care how she gets it. ‘Biting off more than you can chew’; is a gross understatement when it comes to her.

Lessons are learned. Stories are told. Read and find out just how judging without knowledge can be so detrimental to one’s well being. Ever thought about rewriting your life story? After this, you may want to….

  ‘Outside ‘Creamy Pies’

  Where we left off……

Blinking a few times to get my damn bearings. She fucked my damn head up. I ain’t never met a female so damn strong, brazen, and bold. Fa’ any other man she maybe too much but, foe’ me, she’s just enough.

“Fuck it, I’mma make her ass mine. She quitting this shit tho. Fuck that,” I mumbled, turning to walk to the front of the club.

I wonder do she live in this area? I questioned, reaching the door of the club. Pulling on the handle, it didn’t budge. I know they ain’t open. I’m hoping to catch the owner though. I got a feeler out, some shit done came back to me. I can help the owner of this bitch out, but it’ll come at a price.

Hearing the door unlock, I looked towards it.

  “Aft
ernoon, we’re not open for business for another two hours. Then only the restaurant will be open.”

Some big, burly motherfucka, let me know. Eyeing him, he looked familiar, but I can’t place him.

  “Aiight, bet,” I started.

“Stone? Nigga, how you be? Long time no fucking see. Wha’chu need, man?” He interrupted me, trying to slap hands with me.

“The fuck is you, nigga?” I spat, eyeing his ass harder.

“Bo-Bo, from the Burg,” he stated, eyeing me.

“Damn, my bad. I ain’t recognize yo ass. Last time I seen yo ass, you been bout two hundred pounds. The fuck happen to yo ass?” I answered, slapping hands wit his ass.

May as well be cordial. His ass may be able to tell my ass what the fuck I need to know.

“Shit, man, I just bulked up. Did that bid, got out, been on the straight and narrow since. Got ah lil’ boy and shit. Head of security here, wit a clean record. I’m butta,” he explained.

Nodding my head in understanding. His ass was a runner for Wolfe’s ass. Wolfe’s brother set up plenty of his people. I don’t see how the fuck boy still breathing. I got a lead on his ass for that bash shit. Bitch can go underground quick. Wolfe don’t even know where his ass at.

“Much respect. This ah good look fa yah. But check it, I’m tryin’ to hook up wit the owner of this place. He here?” I asked, eyeing him.

Something flash in his eyes as they shifted to the parking lot. Instantly, I placed my hand on my nine that’s resting at the small of my back.

Cutting my eyes to the lot, “I know the fuck it’s not,” I grumbled, pulling my gun completely from my back.

Death bout to come quick for a deceiving muthafucka, I thought, watching a bitch walk across the lot. I ain’t posed to be laying eyes on his weak ass.

“Whoa, hol’ up, Stone. That’s my cousin. Man, how long you been out here?” He questioned, trying to change my focus.

Little do he know, I’m a multitasking muthafucka. Cutting my eyes at him.

  “Not long, why?” I spat.

  He shrugged, watching me hard.

“The owner ain’t here, I can pass yo info along tho,” he stated.

“Naww, I’ll just catch him another time. When is the most likely time he’ll be in?”

Questioning his ass without removing my eyes from the lot.

“Um, after nine at night on Wednesday through Saturdays,” he answered, with his eyes still trained on me.

  “Aiight,” was all I said.

My focus lasered in on the muthafucka that’s walking up like his ass don’t have a care in the world.

“Wha’sup, Bo-Bo? Awe, damn, fuck, um, wha’sup, Stone? How, how you be?” Bumps stammered out, upon seeing me.

  Smirking without a word.

  SPUUU….

“Awww! Fuck!” Bumps hollered out, while gripping his leg.

  “What the fuck?” Bo-Bo yelled.

None of that shit fazed me.

“Shut the fuck up. Remember who the fuck I am, nigga,” I barked, putting them both on hush.

“The fuck yo ass crying for? That’s a muthafuckin’ through and through wound. Yo ass lucky that’s all the fuck it is. Child fucking, sorry summabitch,” I growled, eyeing his weak ass.

I swear, I wanna put a bullet in his fucking head. That shit’ll be too messy though. You don’t become a king making dumb ass mistakes.

“Damn. The fuck he do?” Bo-Bo questioned, sounding confused.

“Yo bitch ass cuzzin likes fuckin’ lil’ ass girls. What the fuck his bitch ass here foe?” I responded, causing Bo-Bo to mug his ass.

“Security job interview,” he gritted out, mugging Bumps.

“Yo ass gonna fuck up hiring this muthafucka. Disloyalty is that bitch middle name. Watch yo hands, muthafucka,” I threatened.

Walking off without sparing either of they asses another glance. I can feel eyes on me. They coming from more than the two niggas that I’m leaving on the sidewalk. Halting in my steps, I casually eyed the parking lot. There’s cars and trucks loitering the parking lot, but nothing is standing out.

Slightly satisfied with my recon, my feet moved to my money green Hummer XXL. Opening the passenger door, climbing in.

“Take me to see Gramps,” was all I said.

Smooth just nodded, without a word, while backing out the parking spot. Smooth’s been my driver foe years. He drives my Gramps too. Well, use to, when he was more mobile.

“How’s Big Lou? He still hangin’ in there?” He inquired, after a few beats.

Sighing, I ran my right hand over my face. Licking my lips, I still can taste Stallion’s lip gloss on my lips.

“He still here. Honestly, Smooth, I don’t think God, nor the devil, wants his ass. They playing tug of war wit his mean ass,” I answered, causing his ass to chuckle.

“Yeah, that sound bout right. He told me months ago he ain’t leaving ‘til he gets some mo’ great grands. Lil’ D ain’t enough. I’m incline to believe he may be getting those soon, if the way yo ass attacked the beautiful young lady is anything to go by,” he acknowledged.

Dropping my head, while shaking it slightly. I ain’t even surprised by his words. Nigga don’t miss nothin’.

“Naww, she ain’t wifey material,” I stated, absently, causing a chuckle to break free from him.

“Why is that? Don’t tell me it’s cuz she’s a dancer? You don’t know her circumstances if you don’t talk to her,” he advised.

“How yo ass figure that?” I questioned.

He cut his eyes at me like I should know better.

“I watched you. You want her. You ain’t never been one to express ya’self. It’s how Big Lou raised you. But every once in a while, an emotion breaks through. That’s what happened back at the club. Yo stubborn ass ain’t gonna admit it tho,” he broke down.

Nodding while keeping my eyes trained on the side view mirror. Something I always do to make sure we ain’t being followed.

Letting the conversation die out loud, but in my head, his words are knocking a hole in my cranium so hard, it’s giving my ass a headache. Shit, I ain’t never been deep into no female. Fuck, rotation, duck, fuck, rotation, is all I know bout dealing with females.

Stallion kissing me was my second kiss. I mean, if you count the little fast ass girls in first through fifth grade, who claimed me as their boyfriend. They would kiss me on the lips and give me candy. It wasn’t ‘til sixth grade that I realized how nasty girl’s mouths can be and stopped kissing them.

I would fuck some shit up, but not kiss. My first was a lil’ neighborhood slut. She was like fifteen, I was thirteen, almost fourteen, and big for my age. She sucked my dick, then put a condom on me. I fucked her from the back. I didn’t know if I was fuckin’ her ass right. I just did what came natural, along with what I’d seen on the pornos I watched. She screamed she was nutting. I nutted in the condom, and that was it.

Bout a week later, she tried claiming me as her boyfriend. I fucked her a few mo’ times before I got bored. She tried to fight other girls she would see me with. I cussed her ass out, ending whatever the fuck, we had going on. That was the first time I demanded respect and got it. Gramps had been grooming me for years, it kicked in just in time.

“We here, Stone. Damn, I ain’t meant to send yo ass to la, la, land. The lil’ lady got all yah attention, huh? Big Lou’s nurse, she cooks? A niggah is beyond hungry,” he chided, parking.

Snapping my focus, my eyes landed on Gramps’ house. Smooth ain’t even wait on a response from me before he was out the truck. He’s worked for Gramps fa’ years. He’s loyal and wise. I respect him just as much as I respect my Gramps. Climbing out my Hummer, I followed his rude ass. Punching in the code, the door dinged. Pushing it open to,

“Naww, beautiful, you gotta move me to the right. My leg don’t work like that. Sit on me. Yeah, like that. Damn, lil’ mama yo ass is the truth. Do. That. Shit.”

The fuck? I thought before, “Gramps,” I called out.
<
br />   “What?” His rough voice spat.

“Wha’chu doing?” I called back, walking down the hall towards the living room. Since that’s where his voice sounded from.

“Minding my damn business, that’s what. Yo ass think I’m getting my pipes pumped? I ain’t... Not yet. Hell, if I was, you think yo cock blocking ass’ll be able to walk up in here?” He yelled back, causing his nurse to giggle.

Walking in the living room seeing him laying on his left side receiving a massage, caused me to shake my head.

“Gramps, since when do nurses give massages?” I inquired.

“First, speak. Yo funny looking ass knows better,” he barked.

“Wha’sup?” I spoke to his nurse.

She smiled while nodding, but not halting his massage.

“Now, to answer yo question. Fine as I am, how can she not massage me?” He bragged.

Shaking my head at his conceited ass while taking a seat.

“If you say so. How you feeling?” I quizzed.

“Shit, I’m good. Wha’sup, Smooth? The hell he had yo ass doing today? Chef cooked some turkey bacon burgers and chips,” he explained.

“Just the usual, Big Lou. I’mma eat before he have me gone again,” he answered, while making his way to the kitchen.

“Naww, Smooth, you good. I got some other shit to do. Racks coming,” I informed him.

Slouching slightly in my seat, I admired the home I grew up in. It’s just big fa’ no damn reason. I questioned him once why he had so much house. He told me,

“Men always have a house foe the family he may one day have. You don’t want to wait until you get the family and try to build yo house. Always set yo ’self up foe what you want. You have the house, once you get the family, it turns into a home.”

I understood it. So, now I own a mini mansion, that has eight bedrooms, living, dining, kitchen, entertainment room, man cave, pool with a pool house, along with a five car garage.

The only time I go there is when I need to think. It isn’t even furnished. Just the master suite houses a California king size bed room set. I got a three bedroom condo, a two bedroom apartment, a room in Banks’ place, and an apartment at LSC if I wanna rest my head.
